Doll Art - "Maria" up close

Here are detail photos of my take on the iconic android woman.
Honoring the actress Brigitte Helm who played Maria and her robot double in the German expressionist science-fiction film Fritz Lang's Metropolis (1927)

The sculpture depicts our lady in the process of her creation;
anticipating a sense of wholeness.

The sculpture is 13 inches tall (including base) with an articulated neck and arm.

Heads on the workbench

Some more progress on my doll sculptures.

Experimenting with different hairstyles and dyes in the resin.

Also, designing joint system to make the doll articulated.
